Own goal from ADMA
Continuing on from the Australian theme of our last post, only this time I can't celebrate the work. In fact, this is the first time I think I'm posting a story that's got my back up...
Press Ads for the Australian Navy
Halo's obscenely talented senior designer Hamish is an Australian. Lucky for us he decided that a life in Bristol making sure that everything we do looks great was for him, rather than a life on the open waves getting shot at as a seaman in the Australian Navy. He might have chosen differently if he'd seen this set of ads created by GPY&R in Melbourne. Having already won at Cannes for the original campaign (ships made out out men, included here), they've gone all photoshop crazy and created some epic work that shows what it takes to be a submariner (eg. courage, rather than madness and a love of floating around in a metal tube of potential death deep under the ocean).
So, sit back and marvel at the skill and creative ability, and think yourself lucky that you are on dry land.

An eye popping tv commercial for MTV Brazil
This awesome one minute 'stop frame' advertisement for MTV Brazil was produced by director Dulcidio Caldeira using laser guides to create a perfectly straight 200 metre long rail with hundreds of balloons fastened to it.
Star Wars Propaganda Posters
Thanks to man about town and exceptional patron of the arts Roberé Birse for this awesome find. Keep that finger on the pulse sir! ´The timeless story of Star War rendered in the style of WW2 propaganda posters. 'Obi Wan has taught you well, but you are not a jedi yet' etc. etc.
